The beautiful and unpublished canvas, 46 x 67 cm, is attributable to the Genoese painter Sinibaldo Scorza, a native of Voltaggio (Genoese hinterland); after an initial apprenticeship at the voltaggino Bernardo Carosio he moved to Genoa at the workshop of the scholar Giovanni Battista Paggi.
