Putti Game - SOLD
Author : Bernardo Strozzi (Genova 1581- Venezia 1644)
Period: 17th century
The two canvases depicting games of putti are attributable to the painter Bernardo Strozzi (Genoa 1581- Venice 1644); immersed in an idyllic and carefree atmosphere, a group of naked children are playing. The works originally formed part of a series of four paintings, one of which was published by Anna Orlando in the catalog of the exhibition Bernardo Strozzi. The conquest of color (2019). Considering the secular subject, the number of canvases, and the format, it appears plausible that they were commissioned by a private individual and intended to decorate the interior of a room as overdoors. Dimensions: canvas 49 x 86.5 cm
