Silver candlesticks

Elegant pair of cast, embossed, and chased silver candlesticks, made in Genoa during the 18th century, Torretta hallmark with date stamp (1)78?. The candlesticks feature a wide circular base decorated with ovolo and leaf motifs; from the center rises the inverted truncated cone-shaped stem, adorned with lanceolate leaves, at the top of which is the candle holder onto which the three-light arm is grafted. Usable with either one or three flames, they represent a magnificent example of the excellence of 18th-century Genoese silverware. Buy one, get two!
