Pair of candlesticks

Made entirely of embossed and chiseled silver, this elegant pair of candlesticks is a testament to the refined goldsmithing of Genoa. They bear the hallmark of the Torretta and the date (1)776. Of great importance is the presence of the two original bobeches, in silver with shaped edges, also hallmarked and coeval with the candlesticks. I emphasize the great importance because candlesticks are often without them because they have been lost over the centuries or bear others that are not contemporary.
