Boselli Plate - SOLD
Period: First half of the 18th century
Giacomo Boselli was an important ceramicist from Savona in the second half of the eighteenth century; attentive to reinterpreting the taste and new trends developed in France, he abandoned the classic blue monochrome production, adopting the "third firing" technique to fix the yellow, red and blue colors of the floral decorations on the already vitrified white enamel. Our unusually shaped plate has a mixtilinear profile. It is decorated with large naturalistic flowers, a clear inspiration from the bouquets of the Hannong manufactory of Strasbourg. The colors are typical of his production, and the Jacques Boselli mark is present on the back. Dimensions: diameter 25.2 cm
